I would say that many families are thinking differently now but there is still a large percentage that prefers having boys. I know, I have two daughters and many aunties say “bechari” to me and pray for a boy for me . In fact a lot of people ask me if I’m planning to have a boy… yeah, I’ll just go to the grocery store and buy one .

he he - I feel the same way. I don’t get bechari but I get “tumhara sahara koun banay ga?”
