Re: baby flu
ok i am in this boat as well since a week now, son suffered with fever as high as 40 degrees and I took him to A&E emergency as well but they only let him go away with with paracetamol, Ibrufin and a throat spray .. the fever broke after four days of suffering , but I dont know if I should insist on antibiotics ? he is coughing slightly, hasnt been eating since a week now , only wants his milk, none of the totka’s are helping much ..
When is it time for the baby to get antibiotics?
CB, antibiotics are needed when the doctor has swabbed the throat or nose and confirmed that it’s either a bacterial infection, strep throat or influenza. Also, if fluid is detected in the middle ear, then it’s an ear infection and anti biotics are needed. Did they swab him to check for any of those? If the fever has already broken and he’s been fever free for a couple of days now, he’s most likely on the mend,
Re: baby flu
Thanks for the input KC. Yeah, they did say that he’s got infection in the ear and throat. But they didnt take any swabs. We insisted on giving them a stool sample coz his Diarrhea is really bad and we wanted it checked if he caught a stomach bug ..
Fever is back as well , not as bad as 40 degrees but its still above 38 degrees ..

I pray for your son’s health. My daughter is perfectly fine now. Antibiotics seem to do some magic. CB have you tried giving your son yakhni? Try giving him that in his feeder cuz that’s how my daughter took it. She simply refused taking it in her sippy. Try rubbing olive oil on his throat n sole before bedtime. It should help inshallah.
