I’ve been hooked on to Huggies since I had my little girl. I wanted to know if there are other no-name brands which work the same?? This aunty in the family often tells me how she switched to the Walmart, Parent’s Choice brand eventually when her children outgrew size 2. She tells me they’re just like the Pampers brand (I’m thinking Pampers should be comparable to Huggies..)
I haven’t thought of switching since I"m extremely happy with Huggies, but it wouldn’t hurt to save if they’re the same. What brand is most popular for all moms out here..? ![]()
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
walmart, parents choice. the best
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
Check the brand they use at Price Choppers (I think it's called Selections) and A&P. Not sure what the one at A&P is called, but I used both from 6-9 months.
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
I tried to switch from Pamper Cruisers to other brands but couldn't find one that didn't leak. The incidents when leakage did occur were so untimely that it really wasn't worth the extra buck or 5 that I was going to save. Instead I focused on toilet training sooner rather than later.
I tried Pampers and Huggies and liked Pampers the best....If you compare the two, Pam. just look well made....I had a lot of trouble with huggies, they leaked alot which is never the case with pampers....even though they both were the same size...
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
papmer s are good
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
I didn't like Parent's Choice diapers because they didn't stretch as much but the Kirkland ones from Costco were really good, comparable to Pampers. I love the smell of Pampers though :)
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
hmm so it seems that everyone has their own different choice :) Well I've been happy with huggies, so guess ill stay with huggies. But I AM curious to try out the pampers too. Atleast online with alll my blog n forum reading, it seems that pampers is THE king in baby diapers. Everyone seems to be liking it, esp the pampers cruisers. So guess I'll try those out on my baby. Also, there were some who said that Huggies is more suitable for boys (smthng to do with more padding at the front), while Pampers is better for girls cuz it has more padding in the centre. But I really couldn't find anything thicker or thinner in the whole span of the Huggies snug n dry ones that I use.
pampers the best !
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
It depends a lot on what size your baby is. My baby is tall and for a while there, neither Pampers or Huggies was working. Had to switch to a no-name brand but then he had another growth spurt and we are back to Huggies now.
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
i used to like pampers dry ,Safeway brand or PC's teddy choice. but with my recent child i feel all diaper brands hav lost quality. thy hav gone cheap. even pampers. now i'm potty training my 11 months n want her to get off diapers fast. hate how they can't stand even one night, always leaks n cause rashes.

Mehnaz i'm having size prob too. most diapers hav size charts which r not really correct. my baby always needs next size even if her weight is not there. we r on size 6 now. its long for her but width wise Size 5 is too small so Size6 works better. they need to make diff diapers for tall kids and broad kids.
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
We are using Pampers for long. And i believe that are best
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
I think diapers are such a personal thing, there is no right answers. Some kids do better with one brand and others with other brands. We've tried a few brands and have settled on LUVS, they seem to work for us.
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
I used pampers in the very begining but later switched to Huggies. During the day and even sometimes at night, we use the Walgreens brand and they work out wonderfully. They dont stretch as much as Huggies brand but i find them nice otherwise.
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
I hated how thin pamper material has becom. My baby would be in a fresh diaper, maybe pee once and man it would stink. Switched to huggies and was so much better. Sometimes if u have a big or tall baby, u have to put them in a size bigger diaper else they leak. Doesnt always mean pamper brand sucks.
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
I dont think you can beat Pampers or Huggies.
They are the 'stand out' brands
Our kids were brought up on Huggies.
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
my baby's using Pamper. the other day i wanted to change her she tried to run the other way i pulled her from the diaper and the diaper got ripped. lol no i'm not that strong neither i pulled hard but pamper's quality has for sure gone down. also they don't stick very well sometimes
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
pampers quality really has gone down.. we were brought up on pampers and ofcourse i dont remember my own exp (duh i was a baby), but i remember putting pampers on my sis and they were perfect... but now.. jeez man must they be so so so thin? i bet its a strategy to get parents to change them every friggin 1 hour and thus go through more in a day!
atleast huggies still has more padding and no matter how heavy it gets, it doesnt stink!
Re: Baby Diaper brands..
anyone here brought up on kapra? :o
jokes aside....how do you guys decide what diapers to use for the very first time ???
