Dear reader,

We are expecting our first baby in January 2015. Due to commitment, I have to travel USA by end of November or mid december. I cannot leave her here in middle east alone. So, Here, We have medical insurance which covers all expenses. But for international delivery, insurance covers only $5K.

We will stay near Dr citrus height, California. I was going through nearest hospital cost for normal delivery and C section (in worst case scenario.) I took $21k quote from (Mercy San Juan) nearest hospital.

How we can reduce our cost. I am okay up to $10k.

I’m sure you can buy insurance and I would definitely recommend it! It can easily cost $50,000. Try contacting Blue Shield/Anthem Blue Cross and see what they say…you should be able to buy temporary insurance that covers delivery.
