This is not a thread to cause any commotion or controversy****, just tell me your experience when you had to raise your girls to raising your boys. Which one would you ideally prefer and why?

I know what you mean, but having a baby boy would be interesting too. Girls grow up too fast, and I wanna keep every single moment of my life with my child.. boys are boys, no fuss, no drama.. hence I'd think first child should always be a boy :)

They're both different, lol.
I used to teach middle school. And boys at that age (12-14) are naughty but clueless about their naughtiness.....they're not usually aware of their silly behavior (playing with pencils, playing paper football). LOL. Now the girls......OMG........they can b****y at that age (with their crazy hormones, PMS). In my one class.....the girls were a piece of WORK!
Of course not all of them are like that......but there were days when i preferred only a class of boys to girls :)
Both genders r special in their own way. With girls....it's that common bond of womanhood that's special :)

I have 2 girls and somehow I also wanted two daughters. Maybe because we are two sisters and we're best buddies so I always imagined having 2 girls becoming the best of friends to each other.
Well, now I think I'd be clueless in raising a son. I've noticed that I'm better with girls be it my own or other peoples children. I guess it's just a habit.

Actually I love it how a lil boy goes to eid prayers with his dad, holding his finger.. or goes to Juma prayers.. or plays soccer with him... I think father & son share this amazing bond that's simply priceless... but I come from a big family and believe me I'm bless to have my sisters who are my best friend as well.. so yeah.. boys or girls, they are both cute.. you just can't stop pulling their cheeks... I luv kids!!!

That looks real cute for sure. But my daughters usually tag along with their daddy for prayers in their little hijabs. I know boys can't replace girls or vice versa. They are both blessings.

Girls rule, boys drool :D we wanted a girl and we got one, we have very few girls in the family so I'm really glad. I still remember, that that was the last time I got teary eyed in many many years when they did the ultra sound and said that it was a girl. I am gonna try to raise mine to be a tom boy though... and I am NOT looking forward to puberty and the insanity that goes along with it.

I also have 2 girls and I wanted 2 daughters for the same reason. I think the best gift that I could have given to both of them is each other.
My sister use to talk to to my belly when I was pregnant and whisper "Be a girl, Be a girl!"
