For a newborn, what would you moms recommend?
I’ve read such raving reviews about Burt’s Bees… their products are on the expensive side though so I’m wondering if they’re really worth it or is it just the organic hype.
Aveeno’s pretty good but they don’t have a baby oil (which is weird).
I want to buy all the essential products before my baby arrives. Recommendations please.

I've used mostly Aveeno. I did try burts bees diaper creams, but prefer the boudreaux's butt paste. I use john sons baby oil tho. Would love to hear others' reviews.

I used olive oil for massage.

With my baby Aveeno products are going perfectly mA and johnsons didn't give any problem either. So i use jhonson's baby oil.

johnsons is pretty common cus its ben thre for so long so ppl automatically assume its reliable. i use their head to toe wash.. pretty neat as compared to sebamed which i just bought but it dusnt create even the slightest foam! i use johnsons baby oil but rarely... i massage with olive oil. shampoo i m using corine de farme (its a french brand) got it in my delivery package.. has almond oil in it. thaz not bad either. but then again dunno if these brand available in the US. i live in ME

depending on where you live... i had use 2 lines now... one for summer and one for winter.. teh only thing that helps my son is locobase (decubal, doublebase etc)... extra thick mosturizer. the summer moisturizer didnt cut it for winter and winter moisturizer was too oily for summer.
and johnson sucked big time.
one word of caution.... i dont knwo why we thought we had to bathe the newborn everyday... didnt help him sleep better ... and worse .. DRIED HIS SKIN! newborns dont get dirty.... so when his skin started to get scaly we realized eeps... sponge bath is so much better... no bodywash.. just warm water and sponge.. bath for once a week... thats it!
mia.. any product would be ok to bbh, if you wanna play safe, just go for a non perfumed line (which all baby products are).. see which one suits your baby and go from there.
for oil.. i used and still use olive oil... nothign beats it!

We have used both huggies and j&j and we like both brands. Havent tried Aveeno yet.

Thanks Ladies.... I guess I'll stick to Aveeno then for baby wash and lotion and use olive oil instead of the baby oil.
Is there a particular brand of olive oil you ladies use? Or any brand will do?
