Babri Mosque conflict….

  1. Was Babri mosque a mosque?

  2. Was Babri mosque being used for offering Namaz?

  3. Can Namaz be offered at a disputed place?

Based on my knowledge:

1. Was Babri mosque a mosque?
Yes

2. Was Babri mosque being used for offering Namaz?
It was locked down for a number of years.

3. Can Namaz be offered at a disputed place?
Namaz can be offered anywhere. However, typically places of worship of other faiths are not used, even part-time, for namaz, especially under muslim rule. This is just so muslims don't take over someone else's place of worship eventually.

4. Can a mosque be built after the name of a person re. Babri Mosque?
There is no prohibition in naming the mosque. Many mosques are named after prominent people, or those who got them built.

as we know that the hindu activists martyred the babri masjid in 1991 i think, and decided to build a ram mandir in place of it.......... what is the maximum punishment in islam for martyring a mosque intentionally!!!!!!
