Lahore: Punjab Governor Latif Khosa has said that former law minister Senator Babar Awan and Masood Chishti proved Mir Jafar and and Mir Sadiq for the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
Speaking at a ceremony on Saturday, the governor and senior PPP leader, Khosa alleged that both Awan and Chishti had been working at the behest of ‘somebody’ .

**ISLAMABAD: **Former law minister Babar Awan has been stripped of all posts held by him in Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Awan is no longer the secretary finance of the party, nor the senior vice-president.
After losing his posts, Awan will also not be a part of any of the party’s Central Executive Committee meetings.

ISLAMABAD: The prime minister’s lawyer and recently elected senator, Aitzaz Ahsan was named as former law minister Babar Awan’s replacement in the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Manifesto Committee on Wednesday.

perhaps ANP would be more keen to take him on onboard. ANP could really use some more poisonous slogans against Pakistan, dams, punjab, etc. etc. and Babar Awan has a knack for coming up with great slogans..........perhaps that will get the ANP "pukhtuns" their birth rights.

Details are now emerging as to why Awan declined to defend Gilani in the apex court and how he was forced to tell lies under oath, take all the blame on himself, become a scapegoatand face utter humiliation, the report carried in the English language daily The News said.
Awan was asked to sign an affidavit which would have made him a laughing stock, an outright criminal as it contained blatant lies, misstatements and incriminating matter. He said no to such manipulation and a massive cover-up.
The draft affidavit, which was meant to be submitted by Awan as a defence witness before the supreme court in the contempt case started with a needless statement: “I (Babar Awan) obtained a Ph D degree from the University of (Monticello) USA.”
The draft was faxed to him from the office of Gilani’s lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan but it was not signed by Awan.
Basically, it stated that Awan was the real culprit and Gilani knew nothing about non-implementation of the December 2009 court judgment against the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) that directed him to write letters to Switzerland to reopen money laundering cases against Zardari.

Your argument failed logic test. Babar Awan is Punjabi & if ANP hates Punjab why would they want him to join ANP?

doesn't matter to ANP, they would talk the devil himself as long as he helps them spreading more hatred in Pakistan, prevents Pakistan from creating dams so that in the long run, ANP can claim a larger share of money from India and USA for its services rendered to ruin Pakistan.
As for Babar Awan, people like him don't belong to any sect/province/ethnicity...............your logic also fails because he was the one who came up with the "Takht-Lahore" slogan and why would he do it, if he was punjabi or liked punjab.
