A lot many people are into it these days due to online businesses. I think its a good line but you have to have very effective strategies for that

Business-to-business marketing involves the sale of one company's product or service to another company.

What's that agency being hired to do? Is it going to be online only like email marketing or something else will be used as well?

Cold calling works for lead generation in B2B but not sales. Unless you can share the business details, products, target businesses etc, its all guesswork what may or may not work.
