Re: Azadi-e-Izhaar
I always try to remember these things. 1. Remember to stand in the mods shoes and feel what it's like to try to do this stuff. 2. Remember that you could be wrong too. Just because a mod sees things differently, doesn't mean the mod is wrong. Even if it doesn't look that way to you. 3. Mods are human. They get tired, they get irritated, they make decisions that aren't perfect, just like you do. 4. It's easy not to notice the GOOD things. The mods do a lot of work--like reading threads that might be boring for them sometimes--just to try to keep things ticking. But we don't see that because most of the time, nothing happens! I've been deleted a few times. But it's always been reasonable, even if I didn't agree 100%. And I always remember the mod sitting there, maybe wishing she/he could do something else, reading through all that stuff and trying to decide what to do. Maybe the mod has a cold, maybe a mod needs to study for a test, maybe the mod is irritable because he/she is AVOIDING studying for a test.:p And so in the end, I always end up thinking, "Thanks for all you do, Mod! I appreciate it! And if you feel I need to be deleted, go right ahead. Don't worry about me, ever."
And sometimes, I remember to say it! It's important to give mods positive feedback, not just negative.:)
This is all good on papers but every single point can be refuted as well... I am not going to do that because it is moot point now....
One thing I can assure you that I am directly aware of many things here (you do not need to know "how" and "what" though) and it is always interesting to know what's actually goes behind the doors... It's not always what you hear is what you get.... we are not living in a perfect world and mods are always protected by Admins regardless because they have a job to do as well...
One of the thing to remember is that People in power can never be wrong - in any case whatsoever.
