Okay I don’t know whats actually going on but its really awkward. From last four days my heartbeat doesn’t seem to be normal :S .. I was having throat infection so I went to see doctor. There I came to know that my heartrate was really high. An average heart rate is 60 to 90 beats per minute and mine was 140. I was treated by doctors there and they somehow brought it down but I am experiencing the same heart rate since then. Doctors say that its anxiety. I am getting married this year, could I be this much stressed ? :S

Have you had any cough syrup? Sometimes regular cough syrup for sore throat, NyQuil or benedryl, can cause elevated heart rate. A few years ago while I was in bed trying to sleep my heart rate escalated to the point I felt it was pounding in my chest. I lay there for 3hrs before freaking out and going to ER. They hooked me up to some machines, found nothing wrong with me, and speculated that it may be the cough syrup. By morning my hr returned to normal and I was fine.
Weird I know... Never happened since.

No I didn't take any syrup. I just took tablets and it's been four days now. I've stopped taking them.

I guess I would go with the doctors on this one, it could be due to a lot of stress, sometimes your mind thinks everything is okay but your body feels differently?
Just take things a bit more slowly and try to relax at home with family?

It's probably stress/anxiety. You should monitor your caffeine intake too (tea, coffee, chocolate) - that aggravates it sometimes. Talk to your doctor though and have it checked out thoroughly!
