Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

As you should know Malik riaz is pakistans richest man and first billionaire and is also the brains behind Bahria town, the biggest real estate developers in Asia.

  • Billionaire, in terms of dollars.

not is he just a billionaire but also a intelligent man and a great thinker combined with a patriotic heart for pakistan.

now this guy has set off to his next mission. It is a big mission because it will provide every pakistani with a home.

he will build 8000 awami villas every year all over pakistan, the houses will be fabricated and made in a factory. (preb houses)

the link below shows the whole process how they are constructed.
http://www.clayton.net/homes/constructionprocess.cfm

these are the houses which combated poverty in the usa, lets hope they can do the same with pakistan.

malik riaz has allready ordered his fabricated plant from malaysia, the malaysians will run the plant for the first year and will later hand it over to malik riaz’s pakistani team on TOT basis.

the price for 2 bedroom houses will start at 5 lacks (£5000) in rawalpindi and finace will be given with it, so all you pay is a tiny Rs. 2000 (£20) per month for 20 years

the scheme is a non-profit scheme and malik riaz is doing for pakistan. the first batch has allready been announced which will be located in rawalpindi and have 5,000 villas, the location will be right infront of defence phrase 2. (the new hot and happening posh area of islamabad/rawalpindi).

100 villas have also been announced for the quake hit muzzafarabad. which is a test after 1000’s more will be lauched in all quake hit areas in kashmir.

the awami villa community will have all the latest facilities you can enjoy in any posh citys, like clubs, gyms, communitee centers, commercial areas and schools which will provide education free of charge.

now lets take a look at some pre-fabricated houses and see how they will look.

these are all pre-fabricated houses in usa, and should look like these.

rawalpindi villas, launched, these are 2 bedroom villas on 5 marlas.

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

anyway...good on him!

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

well im not sure fruad saab.

btw yes these are light weight and ideal for earthqauke prone areas.

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

^ only wooden houses can be light weight, concrete pre-fabs will still be pretty heavy with convenience of designed for easy assemble afterwards.

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

I posted pics of Bahria Town, Lahore, in the topic "Lahore Lahore aii"

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

I am sorry but they look like sheeeeiat...

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

Ya they do..

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

^ Why is that?

you guys should appreciate his efforts instead giving your opinions about how the houses look .. or maybe try living under the open sky hampered by the frigid winds for one day.

He's doing a great great thing .. may Allah guide him in his efforts and may he get support by all fellow Pakistanis.

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

Its my personal opinion that the looks are crap. I didn’t say he was doing a bad job.

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

you are refering to very old articles and cases, dated back to nawa shirif era. bahria were proved innocent in court after that.

malik riaz is the only businesman in pakistan who is a Philantrophists,

the guy is giving free homes to victims of muzzafarbad victims, making them from his own money.

and then he is providing 8000 houses every year at non-profit.

so respect him, pakistanis have a habit of bashing anyone who helps the nation.

Re: Awami Villas - A home for every Pakistani

look what abrar ul haq has to say about him
A fund raising dinner was held at Governor House, Lahore. Malik Riaz Hussain, Cheif Executive, Bahria Town, was the Cheif Guest at the function hosted by Governor of the Punjab, Lt. Gen. Not a business opportunity

I am writing in reference to Mr. Hussain Siddiqui’s letter titled ‘Exploitation by the land Mafia’ ( October 24). The earthquake on 8th October was the worst natural disaster in the living history of Pakistan, but most tragic are the accusations and the defamatory allegations that have been hurled out by many against those who came out to support those struck by this devastating calamity. It will not be possible for the government alone to complete the gigantic task of rehabilitation and reconstruction. The private sector, specifically the construction industry has to join hands with the government in this massive undertaking. It is very heartening to see that Bahria Town recognises its social obligation and duty and has come up with a systematic response to this tremendous loss of life and property by officially announcing that it will launch an Awami Villas scheme in Balakot, Bagh and Muzaffarabad, regions worse hit by the earth quake. At the same time it is very shameful that people like Mr. Hussain resort to maligning and slanderous accusations challenging the noble intentions of those who are contributing towards our nation’s reconstruction.

It is clear how the use of pre-fabricated houses is much safer in earthquakes and why this technology should be deployed in the affected areas. The construction industry at present is not geared to meet the increased requirements of the raw materials; in addition the prices of the raw materials are constantly rising. Prefabricated housing is not only a proven technology but it also costs less than the conventional construction method. These schemes will absorb the local work force in the affected areas and at the same time provide them with shelter and security. Moreover, Bahria Town has also promised to provide these houses to 100 families free of cost.

The fact that the prestigious financial organization like House Building Finance Corporation has extended its support to the company in this project speaks of the credibility of the organization.

I did my homework on the prices of the Awami Villas and was surprised to find out that the price at which they are offering the house is less than the price of the plot. DHA is selling the same land at Rs6 million per kanal just across the boundary. A simple calculation and you would be surprised to find out Mr. Malik Riaz would actually be earning more profit if he sells the land alone. Even Mr. Hussain cannot deny this!

In this time of crisis when many people are cashing on it as a perfect ‘business opportunity’, transportation fares to Balakot have been increased by five times, medicines and daily supplies are being sold at many times their price we should encourage people like Mr. Malik Riaz who have pledged long term sustainable support to the affected.

This disaster has left us with tremendous loss; but what is more disastrous is that we resort to defamatory accusations against those who are actually trying to make a difference. Rather then criticising them we should all put our hands together for all those involved in relief and support efforts for the victims of the earthquake. This will also encourage our nation and other corporate entities to join in the relief efforts.
