I suggest you buy a real anti-virus software.

yeah dont forget the ‘y’ in there, otherwise deltree will actually ask you before it deletes each and every file in your c drive

BTW…you can’t access these forums from DOS or lynx programs. Those were BBS forums back in 1990 that were designed for DOS.
The black Window which opens when you type ‘cmd’ or ‘command’ on the Windows Run box is called command prompt in simple. Which gives you the command interpreter or prompt 'C:' to type a command or instructions.

Since Windows XP is based on Windows NT’s architecture or i386 framework, there is no DOS in it. However it facilitates VDM for some lagacy application.

btw 5abi my fellow azad kashmiri, if i have norton antivirus 2005, would it be wise to have spybot search and destroy with it or just norton on its' own is enough?

LUC yaar, Norton AV 2005 is not enough to save you from spywares/adwares etc. You need Norton for virus/trojan protection and you need Spybot search and destroy for spyware removal. You should have em both concurently as well as Ad-aware free edition.

Norton is quite heavy on the average PC … it raelly slows down the system .. I don’t recommend using it …

actually I’m trying out AVAST on my laptop n’ its okay … slows down my system actually … or maybe its just my laptop 
Amm … tried AVG .. theek hai … throughout the period that it remained installed on my system it actually never found anything ..
