Averages on Karcahi Bomb Blasts and their history

ever since the recent bomb blasts took place i was wondering about the average rate of blasts a month in karachi, which was rising rapidly since january thisyear. from Jan we have had 6, with the last 4 in May. so the distressing average of 1 a month until Aril suddenly shot to 4 a month and thus 1 a week last month.
if thats distressing, the news item in Dawn today shows us a picture far graver than perceived.
I will have to ask my friends in the insurance sector to shed some light on their calculations for karachi…:o

http://www.dawn.com/2004/06/09/local4.htm

with these figures, we have an average per year of 79 blasts in Karachi! that means 6-7 every month! and do i have to say more…? One-Two every freaking week! :smack2:

this analysis (based on the data from the past 14 yrs) is not meant to stress anyone out, nor mock the current situations. just an analysis that paints a grim picture.

May ALLAH keep us all within His Blessings, safe and sound.

Re: Averages on Karcahi Bomb Blasts and their history

unbelievable… and heartbreaking…

And then they say the zealots who cause all this should not be exposed in documentaries! Infact, they should be shot!

yes spock, voilence is the answer to everything. The sahabas being persecuted in makkah at the time of Prophet (PBUH) should have fought back, and killed the quraish. Also the people of Taif should have been crushed between the mountains.
If you want to get rid of sectarian violence, abolish the fuedal system, improve the standard of education, create jobs - in effect, remove the powerbase of the mullahs that preach violence. On the other hand, if you go about killing them, their students will seek revenge, and the cycle will continue.

This is not the time of the sahaba anymore, its 2004. The Pakistani Army danda works very well with these zealots. Anyone who kills Shias or Sunnis in the name of religion should be caught and terminated, too bad you dont feel that way. Sadly, your long term plans (improving schools, creating jobs) which has nothing to do with sectarian killings in the first place, cannot stop the immediate cycle of violence that has engulfed Karachi. Yeah right, lets wait for the education and job reforms to stop this cycle of violence

This just in… Three more killed. Two bomb blasts too!
