ASSALAMALAIKUM SISTERS :)..
well i just want ur suggestions..umm.. as i m not the only daughter of my parents :-)..n there are many other things on which parents have to spend biggg amount of money..
so what you people think should be the average cost of bridal dress, I.E bridal sharara with good kaam on it.
m nt talking about designers.. but what if i buy from any shop at tariq road/bahadurabad?
can we buy a good lehnga in 25-35k?
what are the least rates at jabeens, plk, makkah?
i know it has been discussed many times. but right now i m really confused and cant sleep even cuz of tension :-(.. already in recent 2-3 years, prices of everything has increased like.. no comments :-(..

Hi,
Getting a lengha in 25-35k might be possible but i am afraid if you looking from tariq road or bahadurabad destination, you may hardly find any under 40k even.
But that doesnot mean that you cannot find it.. I once made a bridal jora for my one client in 34k... so i believe, you can find one, but try to look for other places too rather tariq and bahadurabad only. Wish you all the best :)

well prices of bridal dresses are all very relative to what you want!
the rates at jabeens , plk, zardozi are on the higher side at Tariq Road, The average price of a bridal at jabeens is between 100k to 150k. PLK quotes very high but you can negotiate and bring it down to between 60 k and 80 k. However, you can probably find something within your budget at the stores in mateen center and madinah center and rabi center, these area all on opposite side to plk and jabeens. Makkah in mateen center has a huge vareity and bargains alot. you can easily find a dress for 30. Just be prepared to bargain alot. quote 1/4 the price of wht they are asking for and u will settle somewhere in ur budget.

Im sure ud be able to find something within your budget, just compromising on the kaam and materials.
you can get ready made lengha material, keep things basic. get it stitched yourself

If you are willing to do the legwork, and major amounts of leg work yourself, you might find yourself something decent in that 60-70 thousand.
I made my nikah dress on a budget. within 50 K, but then again, it was very simple. I dont think anyone looking at the complete look can ever say that it was like that.
Keep things simple. Enhance the border of the dobatta. Work with a spray on the lehnga all over and a thick border at the bottom. If you work with BOLD colors, that will offset it better.

Also, you can cut out a lengha altogether and do an anarkali or a long maxi. Till almost the ankles.

A family friend made a lehnga for her bhabi in a really good budget. She chose banarsi material for the lengha with palm-sized gold paisleys on it and got them embellished from a kaarigar. That was put together with a plain kameez, and a dupatta with a matching banarsi and gota border and fine kaam all around it. The fine gota and banarsi bale really madr the dupatta stand out and gave the illusion of heavier/thicker kaam. InshaAllah i plan to do the same for my wedding as i have the same concerns as you. I can't justify the expense.
