How come i cannot get a personal pic as an Avatar? why do i only have access to the common few dat soo many people are using on GS already?

Once, you reach your 1000 posts, you will be eligible for your custom avatar in most cases (though exceptions apply sometime and some people do get it before thousand. I'd received mine with my first id when I had only a few hundred posts). You can not simply upload it using GS.
You will have to send it to Gizzy as a request. You can also select your custom title at the same time.

Because its not allowed. All Custom avatars go thru Mr. Custom.

^Send a PM to Mr. Custom with an avatar that fits the required size.
A custom title is what will go where it currently says “Senior Member” beneath your name. You don’t have to change that if you don’t want to, of course.

oh my god, i was told by Dynamic Fire that i only need to reach 100 posts then i can choose my personal pic/avatar....i thought as i got few hours to kill i'd manage that today, but looks like its going to take me years, well good few weeks before i get anywhere near 1000!
