So my mom booked PC for my barat but because of there very rude and bad service over the phone we took our money back and booked Avari…the guy was super nice and provided each detail over the phone and then he emailed me the same day as to what we had discussed…im so happy with there service…I hope it stays the same even during the wedding…anyhow…the hall we booked is Khorsheed…do any of you guppies have pictures of this hall and any other decorating ideas will be great!
im booking madeehas for my barat MUA…so far they are the best ones ive heard good reviews on…any other info you girls have will be really appreciated…

ok havent been to avari for years but here is a warning: don't go to madeeha's my best friend got it done from there as well as my other friend, and she looked like she had no eye makeup at all, and the light pink lipstick made her thin lips look thinner! She said Madeeha didnt listen to what she said abotu the makeup, and ignored her suggestions. all in all it was horrible, and madeeha's didnt let us in the door when we went to pick her up and asked for the remaining payment because she said u won't pay me after you have seen the bride. and she was right! we payed, went in, and were horrified! i could barely stop my bf from crying.

That's horrible! I also had a cousin who get her makeup from one of those famous salons in Lahore and they outlined her thin lips in red lip liner! It was making her thin lips even more prominant. I was horrified when I saw the pictures.
yes, and back at the hotel, we put lipstick on her which we brought at the mall (on our way back from the saloon) and put on a little eye makeup, the best we could. And she had paid extra to have madeeha do her makeup!! You couldn't PAY me to go to madeeha's.
lol! the story is horrifying! My lots of cousins went for madeeha for their light coloured wedding dresses and seriously they all lukd gud! but i knw things like this happens! btw one ov my cousins went for madeehas sis! her make was lesser in price! i guess her name is SITWAT n her make up ws really better then the ones by madeeha!
Komal if u r goin fo Red for ur barat go to MIGHTY or Allenora! i think they r really gud! bt everyone have different opinions! jus come over n visit different parlours n then take ur decision!
@Komal i have been to lots of weddin at khursheed hall its huge n its preety gud! i like the cielings of the hall! the Ambiance is preety gud. m posting a picture but the picture doesnt do justice to the place! its really better than all the halls of PC. its similar to the crystal one as its really big!
alrite as far as decortaing ideas r concerened there r lots of flower shops opposite punjab university campus like the liberty ones! the one opposite PU are cheaper! jus go there see some albums! they will gv u lots of decorating ideas! try to spend sum tyme there n c all albums! n whteva u like try to bargain as much as possible lolol believe me it will be worth it!
n if u dun lyk anything there then go to d liberty ones! theres one shop in all those shops which has an ac plus window doors (only one) it has real gud stages and decorating ideas! like the wedding planner kind! its expensive then other flower shops but alot cheaper then the wedding planners:-)
sara- thanks for ur info...my cozin went to madeehas and she looked amazing...ill have to do some more research...but i dont like ellenoras makeup that much now...i got my nikkah makeup done from there it was so cakey...

as far as decorating goes...im looking forward to it...i was thinking the same that you suggested that i should go to flower shops...im sure i can find better work with them compared to the big shots...

dun u get me even started on pc FOod! went there fo a cousins wedding n litreally after the last bite of our food me n the brides sis were running towards loo. vommitted like crazy that day. n jus a few days back i ws doin a project on PC ate at one of their resturants. had cramz in my stomach all dat day.

ak12- PC is charging 1300/head but they said its not gauranteed becoz the after the budget comes the prices will probably go up...
avari is charing us 1510/head..that includes round tablers, mineral water, silverwear on the tables, and fresh flower arrangements on the tables...
does anyone know how i can attach a picture...the guy from avari sent me a picture of the hall as well...
i think u should go to madeeha and look at actual brides, same with maryam khwaja. i booked hardly a month before my shadi. dont be in a hurry to book MUA's.

well 1510/head is good especially with all the stuff and since there are no hidden charges! whats their food like? did you taste it? and how many dishes are they serving?

ak12- ya the price is pretty good…i dont know what i will be doing with the decorating yet…i might just get them to do it depending on the prices…whoever does a good job and is reasonable priced…lets see…
