I have to write autobiography for my teaching portfolio. I have listed all the important points I need to mention but I am kind of confused on how to start. I am sure many of you would have written autobiographies for your professional portfolios or are creative writers, so please give me some ideas on a creative/interesting start/intro.

Well, all I wrote was a resume for myself, so I dont think Ill be able to offer much help here, but would be interested in seeing some samples, if anyone wants to share...

Spock, thanks for the reply. I am also interested in looking at some samples (if possibble) and getting some tips.
Actually, I googled but the samples that show up are way too professional.

I can share my "Teaching & Research Philosophy" statement with you if you like.
I have various versions of an autobiography lying around... some for use with publications of journal articles, others as a Speaker Bio for conference speaking engagements etc.
These may however be a little too narrow for your needs since they are focused on my teaching and research interests and accomplishments... but let me know if you'd like me to send these to you.
