Authenticity of Ancient Scriptures

I think a lot of what was revealed in the Bible (esp Old Testament) and in the Quran were practices for the people of that time and place, so a lot of it is not applicable to the 21st century.

I think this part should answer gupsguppy's question, as that is what I thought you believe in as well.

gupguppy.. the way you edited and reworded your post, is ok. Its probably just semantics anyway. And then we have the question of 'what is Hadees-e-qudsi and why is it left out of Quran?". If someone starts out on the journey of learning by discredeting the life, words and actions of the messanger, they start out with a big handicap.

Not according to my understanding of my question. I believe Seminole intends one of the following:

  1. The Bible as we have it today is 100% the unchanged word of God. However, some aspects of it no longer apply

  2. The Bible as we have it today is NOT 100% the unchanged word of God. Also, some aspects of it no longer apply today

I believe he intends #2.

Seminole?

Well, he said so in different places, so you can combine it in one sentence (or two in this case) and ask it three more times as well. The answer remains the same.

Waisay, the whole discussion about other divine texts is technically a separate one from this topic, as this is supposedly to discuss those who deny ahadith of the Prophet (Peace be upon him).

Faisal, if you have no interest in the topic or feel the question has already been answered then feel free to step aside.

I think the discussion is getting repetitive and is not moving forward. Anyway, its your time. I have split it off from "Ahadeeth" thread, so now you can proceed at your own liesurely pace on this topic. Good luck.

Unnecessary... Just because you can't see the link, don't assume everyone else can't as well.

Too bad. :)

You might want to split your last post into a new "Too bad" thread... you are beginning to sound repetitive.
