My employer wants me to send for 5 weeks training to Australia, they have asked me to look for appropriate Australian visa.
I think it would be Visit visa (Tourism stream), i wonder would i need to present some medical certificates?, any one who can guide further would be appreciated,
also, please advise if there is another visa option for my case.
Please don’t direct to the Australian visa application center website.
Would you be able to get training on visit visa? You should contact immigration and ask them which visa you should apply for training.
Unless there are different categories of visit visa; as far as I know you can not get training on general visit visa. Its better to check before you apply.
you don't need a medical certificate for a visit visa for 3 months, you need a medical cert for a 6 month visit. You will also need to show bank balance, tax papers etc to show you can afford to stay here. Im not an expert, i just know cos i did this for my in-laws last year

Since company is sponsoring me they will be giving me all these documents(stating about my sponsorship) etc,
Anyways , thanks your info will work,
Do, you know, study of less three moths could also be interpreted as training of less than three months !
One of my friends who works in BHP Billiton was refused visa despite the fact he was sponsored by Australians....their GM in Islamabad was Aussie himself. And the Visa officer denied visa. The GM then called Ambassador who went down to visa section and inquired about the case. Upon his request, he issued visa but with lots of hesitation. My friends passport was blank. No travel history.
