Australia vs Jonoobi Ufreeka - 3rd Test @ Sydney

Add to that the fact the Aussies lack a quality spinner which was so obvious in the first test when SA successfully chased 414. I am not saying SA cannot save this one now but to do that Smith and one or two others - de Villiers, Boucher or even the new guy Duminy will have to play a special innings. Kallis has not been in the best of forms lately. From Australia's point of view they would want to finish on a high note ahead of the soon to follow reverse series in South Africa. A South African win seems the least likely result unless Australia collapse majorly on the 4th morning

**Smith might not come to bat 2morrow :bummer:
**

brave decision by punter to let Saffies chase this target considering what happened in the first game and what could happen here. A loss here means that he will be the first Australian captain ever to lose a series 0-3 on home soil. Not only that but Australia will lose their number 1 test ranking as well. Punter lost alot of credibility as a captain after series defeats against India and South Africa and he is probably looking to get some credibility back through this declaration and a consolation win.

Re: Australia vs Jonoobi Ufreeka - 3rd Test @ Sydney

Well, the idea to send Morkel to open the innings was different. He had made 40 in the first innings but he fell early.

How is Smith's injury-looking, any chance he will bat this innings? Maybe down the order?

:hehe: they thought he will be able to face the new ball, they didn’t know the only tailender who can face the new ball is Imran Farhat.

Who is following the match? Sheesh! Where are all the cricket lovers?

Re: Australia vs Jonoobi Ufreeka - 3rd Test @ Sydney

Very good game, though I didn’t follow it ball by ball, heck day-by-day but checked last 2 days. Aussies knowing that SAffies earlier scored 400+ to win a game in this series still declared setting 376 to win. Probably Smith’s injury played a role in the decision, anyway great game from both sides, Cricket wins :k:

Very disappointed in your efforts, Mr. Channel Manager Sir. :naraz:

Brave display from Smith to come and bat with a fractured finger. Not an easy thing to do and that’s why we don’t see such stunts too often.

Don’t want to take anything away from him but 22 years ago Saleem Malik also did something which was even more courageous. He decided to face Kalooo dewaanay in the second innings after getting his right arm fractured in the first innings (keep in mind it was his front hand while facing the bowling).
