Australia vs India 2nd T20I

So Australia have now lost three games in a row to India

India have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match series thanks to Kohli

well-played.

India made an impressive 184/3. Australia raced to 94 for none after 9.4 overs (exactly 10 an over) but then lost their way in the last 10. Jadeja took a blinder to dismiss Watson but Dhoni’s slick stumping of danger man Maxwell off Yuvraj’s bowling was the turning point of the game for me.

Re: Australia vs India 2nd T20I

I know it will not be easy to maintain it in the long-term esp. in a knockabout format like T20 but Kohli averages 50 plus with the bat at the moment! Not many players average that in ODI let alone T20 cricket

Re: Australia vs India 2nd T20I

Saw the match. I thought India missed a trick or two when Dhoni and Kohli put on only 15 runs in last 2 overs. And the way Finch and Marsh shaun were batting, it Looked like an easy target. While Dhoni did miss a stumping he was at his best behind the wockets. One slick stumping got rid of Maxwell. A poor throw was collected well by dhoni to run out Finch.

Kohli fielded out of skin. Save about 3 boundaries off potential overthrows.

Nohit started with TEN dot balls. Running between wickets - I Dia gave up at least 6 singles by nit running hard.

Re: Australia vs India 2nd T20I

The Aussie commentators are really biased. When a marginal Aussie ball was not called wide, they said, poor Mitchell Marsh, he was unlucky last time. The Marsh ball was not so obviously in. It was a touch and go. The way they winded about it last match. And continued to in this match. They could have said - this time the Aussie bowler got the call. But they choose to say Marsh was not lucky. As supposed to this Aussie was lucky.

Later Ashwin bowled a legal ball. And the Aussie commentator goes - he was lucky not to have that called wide.

Manjrekar gets on my nerves. So does Sastry. But they are not 1 pct as biased as Aussies. And Gavaskar is avlctually straight shooter.

But in subcontinent we find fault with out folks. And give the Aussies and English free pass.

Re: Australia vs India 2nd T20I

Dhoni promoting himself above Raina made no sense. He keeps doing that. Result is others don't get a chance to pass or fail. He needs to realize there are other who can play too - may lhe even better. Without experience in the middle how are they supposed to come through when it counts.

Jadeja took a blinder to dismiss an auisse off his bowling Ashwin reutralized Finch - each time Finch moved towards leg to make room to hit, Ashwin followed him.

Bhumra bowled well. Again. Pandya did well.

Indians fielded well. In spite of couple of dropped catches and a stumping.

Re: Australia vs India 2nd T20I

On another day they might have surpassed 200 but 184 was still a very good score. 180-plus is a match-winning total 80-90% of the time in T20Is
