one of the worst match you will ever see in respect of Umpiring,
I m not sure harper or that other umpire will be selcted for WC now,, coz of there decisionS,,
they literally ate 6 dead lbw desicions in this match so far.
S/L 343/5 off 50 overs.
Australia 184/6 off 38 overs.
The match is over bar the shouting.
S/L are on their way to crush the mighty Australians. Well done S/L.
Australia 264 all out (49.3 ov)
SL won by 79 runs.

yes CB, they were literally eating the plumb appeals.
without McGrath, Gillespie, Warne what else is Australia's bowling attack?
:k:
Great job SL !
looks like Asians are getting into rythem ![]()
First lost TEST match now ODI.
Looks like without MAcgrath,Warne and Gillespi AUS attack is as good as Asian attack.
I dont know why are you guys are trying to compare Mcgrath/warne/Gillespie with Bitchel/Lee/Hogg. Of course they are not as good as their seniors. And Imagine a pak attack without just one bowler Akram , SA without Pollock England without Caddick, SL without Murali. Without these bowlers their bowling attack will be worse than the bowling attack of the mohalla I live in. In australian's case their 3 main bowlers are out.
This win was a fluke and Sri Lanka will lose to this same Australian team next time. we have seen ample proof of it in this tour.
Oh and btw - in the Australian team Brett lee and Hogg and bichel were the only specialist bowlers.

SL rarely and sledom won without Murali, SA ave won without Pollock.
and England have won without Caddick. Even Pakistan have won without Akram too. The fact everyone is trying to point out is (or atleast what i want to emphassize is) That austrailins are bragged in media full of resources even without Mcgrath and Gillespie. And now everyone can see how vulnerable they are without anyone them.

So, Why it should be different for the Australians ? They were without their 3 main bowlers. Of course that would impact their performance. Still I can say that let this team play against Same Lankan team and they will beat the h*ll out of this Lankan and English team.

SA ave won without Pollock.

Well may be against Bangladesh - not against any quality team. They may have won one match here and there but seriously take pollock/Donald/nitni out and tell me how many matches they have won.

and England have won without Caddick.

When was the last time England won without Caddick ?? Umm may be 5 years ago..wow what a team...and great backup...

Yeah take Akram/Waqar/Saqlain out and tell me when was the last time they won without them.

what Vulnerable ?? Just one match and you are talking about vulnerability ?? If I remeber correctly Australia have lost matches both ODIs and Tests even when Mcgrath/Gillespie/warne in the team - Go and find out how many times.
Wait for at least couple of matches before writting them off. And of course they have the resources..Ask any player who has played against their local teams. Their resources are way better than any other country.
