Australia to host Pakistan in one-day series

From Reuters:

Australia will host Pakistan in a three-match limited-overs series in June, the Australian Cricket Board (ACB) has announced.

The first two day-night matches will be played indoors at Melbourne’s Docklands Stadium on June 12 and June 15 with the third match to be played outdoors in Brisbane on June 19.

ACB chief executive officer James Sutherland said in a statement that the series, to be played out of season during the Australian winter, had been arranged to satisfy the public’s demand for more matches as well as helping the team’s build-up to next year’s World Cup in South Africa.

Will the indoor ODI’S be recognised as official games?

Yep that will be all official games .. same rules apply .. same ground .. the only diffrence will be the roof on top .. and we will have view from top of Vicky picking his nose and Warne harrasing women ...

Hey one more thing
These things are hard to explain
For some it seems strange... to swallow
The frontier of our minds
Is the last place we find
But maybe the first place we should go

Haah good one Rooser.

Seriosly though Gen zia just said that since Razzaq (county) and other players might be missing, they might decide to send a "different" team. And the Aussies just returned the favour by saying that they might be playing a "different" squad too. So the series just might turn to be a battle between the second 11's. I think it was in today's Dawn.

lo dasso…

pakistani superstars travel to that down below country to play 3 one days!!!

I think 1992, against England.

I rest my case.

What is so good about having five test matches, I would rather watch a series with pakistan playing 3 test matches rather than five, first of all its too long and the last 2 test matches become rally boring, name any five test match series which has been exciting than 3 test matche series,
Ashes which is a big thing in Australia and England was probably the most boring thing I have ever seen.
Series like India vs Australia or South Africa vs Australia was more exciting to watch even though the south afirca is series was one sided.

Coming back to the topic, I think both teams need to send their top 15 players who will play in the world cup next year, especially for Pakistan, this is the time where they need to select which players are going to the world cup and get them in excellent just like what Imran Khan did in 92.

This is off the topic here, but Australia will now only play 2 test instead of 3, that really pisses me off!

I didn’t care much about westindies and NZ playing 2 test, but with Australia, its a much different deal.
Instead they will play England for 5 test matches again!
