It would have been an exciting day. I think India would have won.
one can only feel for dada and his men, wat a glorious chance to level the series gone!!!! i believe india would've knocked off the 200 odd runs if rain hadn't prevented play. + anil kumble is on fire the man can't stop taking wickets.
i make that:
kumble 18 wickets
harbaju' 16 wickets and
warny 10 wickets thus far.
btw guys who holds the record for the most number of test match scalps in a 4 match series? i believe harbaju' took 32 big one's last time the aussies toured; is that a record or has any other bowler took more??
Pathan ruled out of Nagpur Test {Nehra returns to the squad}

Irfan Pathan has been ruled out of the third Test against Australia due to a side strain. Ashish Nehra was picked as his replacement and that was the only change when the selection committee picked the side for the Nagpur Test.
It was a big setback for India as they try to come back into the series. Pathan produced some fiery spells in the first Test at Bangalore, where he got the ball to reverse-swing at a high speed. Also, his batting was crucial in all the three innings so far as he spent valuable time in the middle, blunting the Australian bowlers with some immaculate defence.
Parthiv Patel’s selection was discussed in the meeting but Sourav Ganguly strongly backed Patel’s inclusion. Ganguly felt that Patel had had a bad game and that it was bound to happen to any player.
Sachin Tendulkar was chosen as the 15th member of the squad and will play if his injury heals in time.

^ i don’t think it’s a point for concern coz’ so far in the 2 test matches pathan has taken only 2 wickets just like greasy zaheera. the spinners have done it for india and will continue to do it i feel in the remainder of the test series.

After missing the first two Tests against Australia with his ongoing tennis-elbow problem, Sachin Tendulkar is “very hopeful” of recovering in time to play in the third match at Nagpur, which starts on October 26.
Tendulkar, whose injury has kept him out of the side since the one-day tournament in Amstelveen in August, has been practising indoors with tennis balls, and believes he will be ready to presume full training “in three or four days”.
On Friday, Tendulkar had an appointment with Dr Anant Joshi, a BCCI-appointed sports medicine expert, who was encouraged by the progress made. “It’s much better now,” admitted Tendulkar. “The pain has gone down considerably and am very hopeful of playing in the next Test.”
Tendulkar has been following a rehabilitation programme to help him return to fitness after two months on the sidelines. Since making his debut in 1989, Tendulkar has missed just five Tests, and this is the longest he has been out of action since pulling out of the three-Test tour to Sri Lanka in 2001.
