I don't know why they take ages to update their website. Anyways very impressive performace by the pakistan A bowlers. Good to see that all of them are getting into rhythm.

Great performance, just a few questions which need to be addressed:

  1. Why was Shahid Nazir given only 4 overs in the 2nd inning when he was the best bowler in the first
  2. Seems like Shoaib Malik will be batting at number 1 position in the comming test match series, does that make any sense when u hv recognized batsmen?
  3. Was there any spin bowler from the Pak side?

Well played Pak A, nice to see gul back, :insha:] he’ll shine in october. There is really no need to play malika sialkotia as opener in tests, when we have recognised openers in the form of tauqeer, yasir, farhat, wasti etc. He should bat lower down the order.

YES my bad I mean’t taufeeq, nice 2 c u r on the ball, man that was funny. :D] I can’t help but bring up a recognised openers’ name as malika sialkotia isn’t a opener, so playing him out of position doesn’t make sense. But if he clicks then it’ll be a added advantage. Personally i would like to see wajahatulah wasti brought back as opening partner of salu butt, he is batting well at the moment.

According to an article I rea a few days ago, Hasan Raza probably would’ve been the captain, but he excused himself because of his wedding. Talk about bad timing! If I were him, I’d postpone the wedding and play this match (or get married but still play the match). This was an excellent opportunity for him to show his worth and come into the limelight. In his absence, Misbah was made captain.

Though I’ve never seen him play, I would’ve thought he was more like a Laxman type of player: wristy and elegant. Mujtaba type would be someone like Asim Kamal, who digs in, doesn’t give up, has all the shots, and plays the anchor.

In presence of salman butt,inzi, youhana, younis, kamal, afridi, razzak, akmal, 2 pacers and a spinner, I don't undestand where are they going to fit malik. We will see a non regular opener in the upcoming series. It will be salman butt opening either with younis khan or afridi.

We need YOUNG players, wasti is strokeless and clueless, misbah is too old, shahid nazir is too old. Old age and no experience is a bad combination. This is the same dilemma Australia are in. All their "new" talent is approaching 30 or over 30 because they never got a spot in the team. Just look at Hussey. Atleast with youth, they can learn from experience and pay off Pakistan cricket in the long run. Perfect example is England, they have groomed young players. All these thoughts of recalling buddhas like Mushtaq etc, are backward steps.

malik too will not open in a test match....
perhaps, mohammad hafeez cud be recalled....

Khan Sahib, Uff Allah Yeh aap ney kia khaidiya…aapke chund alfazon nay najanay kithnay dil pash pash kardiya…hai hai hai…Wasti strokeless? Misbah too old? Shahid Nazir too old? old age + no experience = bad combination? hai hai hai…becharra Misbah woh tho abhee under 19…Iam sorry under 21 naheen under 25 tho hoga naa? After all, Waqar Yunus is still only 31???

Jokes aside, Khan sahib, Misbah and Shahid Nazeer both started very early in their professional cricketing life, but are still relatively young compared to our ageing dinasours (Inzi, Yuhana, Yunus Khan, Asim Kamal). Misbah is 31, Sh Nazir is 28 yrs only. Both have international experience and tons of domestic, does that not count as experience or will we have to import players from the land down under?

Another thing, Ozzies may have lost one series, dont forget it was the same ageing dinos who gave your team the thrashing of their life…
