If I am not wrong, Austral-Asia was the first cup won by Pakistan becoz of Legend Javed Miandad and after this we won many matches.

There are two significant differences between the final of AustralAsia Cup 1985 and Asia Cup 2014. The number of balls and runs remaining. Pakistan was left with just one ball and 4 runs require in the final of AustralAsia Cup 1985 against India which was next to impossible compared to what Pakistan faced in Asia Cup 2014 against India. There still were 3 balls remaining with 3 runs required to win which was not that big of a fate. Not to mention the Indian team of AustralAsia Cup was at its peak and had excellent winning records against Pakistan in Sharjah until Javed Miandad laid the foundation of destroying their winning streak against Pakistan in ODIs.
Comparison aside, it was a great win for Pakistan in Asia Cup 2014.
