**Australia A gained revenge for Saturday’s defeat with a 51-run victory over the West Indian tourists in Hobart in the second one-day match. **

With 53 from Wavell Hinds, West Indies looked set for a target of 244 before seven wickets fell for 34 runs.

Young off-spinner Nathan Hauritz made the breakthrough, removing Ramnaresh Sarwan for 35, and Brett Lee took 2-35.

Earlier Mike Hussey, whose brother David made 128 on Saturday, hit 70 in the home side’s total of 243-9.

The tourists were without Brian Lara, who is playing in Monday’s tsunami appeal benefit match in Melbourne.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who replaced Sarwan as vice-captain for this tour, skippered the side, opting to bowl first.

All-rounder Cameron White also impressed with 59 for the hosts, while recalled West Indies paceman Reon King took 3-61.

Making 43, Chris Gayle ut on 59 for thefirst wicket with Hinds, while Sarwan and Marlon Samuels (31)also got starts for the tourists.

However, Hinds was adjudged lbw to James Hopes to make thescore 115-3 in the 5th over, although the ball appearedto have pitched outside the left hander’s leg stump.

Sarwan was dismissed by a sharp catch from White andSamuels was run out 15 runs later.

That triggered a lower ordercollapse with no batsmen in the bottom six reaching doublefigures.

Lee took both of his wickets in the 41st and his final over, removing Dwayne Bravo for five and Mervyn Dillon for a duck.

Speaking during the match, Lara warned that Australian conditions will be completely different to those during their ICC Champions Trophy win.

“We worked really hard in our camp in Barbados in December but I don’t think it’s enough,” said the batsman. "I’ve still seen a lot of loopholes in our fielding and our bowling - it’s not September in England where conditions favour our fast bowlers. “We’ve got to understand it’s going to be 250-plus the majority of the time and we’ve got to get those totals.”
