Aussi players refuse Pakistan Tour

Terrorism is world wide. It can happen anywhere and anytime in the world, no one can't do anything about it, just like it happend in Karachi, it can also happen in Melbourne, there is no need for any player to be a coward, Pak and India proved that in 96, they showed the cowards called Windies and Aussies that SL is safe.

Its not question of being coward or brave. Definition of safety varies from society to society. For People of AUS or NZL or ENG who are not used to hear about Bomb blast everyday It can be a big issue. People like us who grew up in Subcontinent know that these are not big thing because we grew up hearing these kinda news everyday.

In India or Pakistan if 2-3 people are killed its reported on some croner or on last pages of newspaper but for them its a bug Issue.
So its just the question of perception.

Unka Jo Kaam hai Ahl-e-Siyasat Jaane,
Apna paigam muhabbat hai ,jahan tak pahuche

AQ and others, It is not a question of terrorism, it is a matter of security which our govt needs to provide to these players.

I remember Winter Olympics immidiately after the WTC attack and US govt made it a prestige issue to organize it and show the world how capable they are. On the other hand We (both India and Pakistan) made a promise to the NZ team and govt that there wont be any security problems in Pakistan and we didn't fulfil our promise, we failed miserably.(and Winter Olympics was a much larger event than PAK-NZ series)

If Australia is not willing to come to the Subcontinent then it is our fault not theirs. We have not done anything to keep their trust alive in our administration. For god's sake try to step into their shoes and think.

How can you say that Pakistan didn't do their best for safety of the NZ players.
You have no idea. PCB spent bunch of money for the safety, the bomb blast could have happend anywhere, outside the Olympic stadium in Salt Lake or outside MCG, the world is very huge place, no country or board can give guarentee for their safety.

Even if there is an Aussie fanatic hiding in Melbourne trying to kill Pakistani players, ACB or ICC can't guarentee the safety.

It maybe a big for them but remember people like these are all over the world not just Pakistan.

Umair Bhai, I didn't say Pakistan Didn't do its best. It may have but that best was not good enough. The difference between Salt Lake City and Karachi is - There were no problems in SL UTAH despite Winter Games being much largerer even than PAK-NZ series.

Mark Waugh has joined the growing band of senior Australian cricketers refusing to tour Pakistan because of security fears, raising more doubts over whether the tour will proceed.

Waugh said he expected the tour would be called off but if it wasn't he would follow the lead of other senior players including Steve Waugh, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath and Adam Gilchrist by refusing to go.

"I wouldn't go, I think it's too dangerous, life is much more important than cricket," said Waugh, in a television interview broadcast in Australia on Sunday.

"Common sense and gut feeling says it's too dangerous a place to be. If you're in the wrong place at the wrong time you don't know what might happen."

The Australians, named last week as the world's best sports team in 2001, are scheduled to visit Pakistan in September and October but the tour is in doubt following a suicide bombing in Karachi earlier this month killed 14 people and forced the New Zealand team to immediately abandon the remainder of their two-test tour.

The Australian Cricket Board (ACB) said it was monitoring the situation before making a final decision but was already looking into the possibility of playing at a neutral venue.

Waugh said he expected the tour to Pakistan would be called off but said the players would support playing at a neutral venue.

"I don't think the tour will go ahead and I don't think it should go ahead but it's not up to me," Waugh said.

"It's up to the ACB and the Pakistan Cricket Board to work it out...but realistically it doesn't look like it will go ahead."

PAK should not play at neutral venue if AUS refuse to come to PAK the series should be canceled.
