Australia are eager to get stuck into New Zealand when they meet in a crucial Champions Trophy decider on Thursday.
The clash at The Oval will determine which side progresses to the semi-finals from Group A.
Australia are low on match practice leading up to the tournament due to bad weather but captain Ricky Ponting said: "Everybody is raring to go.
“They should be as well, because even though we have been denied match play we have trained really hard.”
European rain and damp conditions hit their tour of the Netherlands and a match against Hampshire was washed out.
But after a one-sided win over minnows USA in their opening Champions Trophy game, Ponting insisted his side were ready for their first serious test of the tournament.
“We are very well prepared and the games we have managed to play, our skills have looked very sharp.”
"New Zealand are a good side - we understand and respect that fact.
"You know, they’ve won a few one day games lately and, as they say themselves, they lift their game when they play us.
“Their batting line-up is very good. But if we can turn up and play something like our best cricket we’ll be in good shape.”
Australia have beaten the Black Caps in the past six one-day internationals, so New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris knows nothing but the best will be good enough against the world champions.
“To beat Australia you have to be playing at the peak of your powers; nothing else will be enough,” Styris told the New Zealand Herald.
“Whatever team they decide to go with, they’re going to be a real handful.”
“It will take an exceptional effort to beat them. That’s just the nature of the beast.”
The Kiwis may have one slight advantage of having already played at The Oval when they beat the United States by 210 runs.
But New Zealand know the English weather could play the most influential part in the game, especially if run rate decides the qualifiers.
Australia’s run rate against the US was better than New Zealand’s so if the match is drawn or washed out, they will advance to the last four.
