Few years ago, an aussie fielder in slips “caught” an Indian batsman. There was doubt abt the catch. The umpire, instead of giving benefit of the doubt to batsman, asks Ponting if catch was made cleanly. Pomting said yes and batsman given out.

My impression of him (I could be wrong) is he is not a very good sport. (And it is always interesting to find someone to “hate” in sports - mazaa increases exponentially).

Believe me he isn’t the only sub-continental to have “Dushmani” with Ponting

Arrogance and bad mouthing coming to halt … his reaction to the 1st Innings dismissal (in the 2nd test againt NZ @ Hobart) is mind shattering … it was like he walked to an LBW Appeal … and this from a guy who was renowned for staying on even after clear nicks … yeah there is a bit joy i can’t hide

On a serious note he should walk away after 1st Test against India coz he is making mockery of himself … Maybe he’ll hang (with selectors will) on and get the odd 50+ or even a 100 but i think he shoudl retire on his own terms

It was funny enough to note Ian (aka verbal di******) Chappel called for the Heads of Hughes and Khwaja but not one word about Ponting occupying a slot for doing nothing for almost 2 years

It tells u it’s not only us Desis but there are others idiots aswell who think to have a say but yet speak loads of bu******
