Nature’s ultimate light show. The sun often emits sorta clouds of particles that travel at high speeds known as Solar Winds. When those particles reach earth and interact with the atmosphere, you get this magnificient view. This is a time lapse video (shot over a long period of time and then sped up).

no really smiley...u can see it on TO. they announce it on like the local news that the conditions are ideal to see the aurora at like 2 am onwards. though it is true...the more north you go, the longer you can see it, and more often.
i forget because a) its 2 am onwards b) it's freekin' cold outside, and there is like 5 feet of snow. soo...umm yea :p
really? but isn't that only one night out of the 365 days of the year. and even when they do come up, they're not as bright as they would be if you were more north.
