Re: Aurat ki kamai

bhai, maiN ne LUXURIES kii baat nahiiN kii hai...aam zarooriyaat kii hii kii hai magar aap Ghaur se dekheN to kia yeh zaroooriyaat insaanii baqaa yaa insaan kii pur sukoon zindagii ke liye zaroorii haiN? aajkal ham log ek race meN bhaag rahe haiN...the definition of 'comfortable life' has completely changed just as the concept of 'speed' has changed. we do NOT need one room for each child with attached bathroom. do we? hamaare aabaa o ajdaad to ek ghar men sab ko paal lete the...Ghareeb se poochhiye k chhat kia hotii hai?

the definition of poverty has changed as well...now, sadly, it's bottomless pit. a poor in the western countries will be considered a middle class in another country and vice versa.

:)

Re: Aurat ki kamai

i am a supporter but reason bhi diye hain .. bila waja no azadi :nono:

Re: Aurat ki kamai

Agree that Luxury definition has been changed, but still education and health (which are basic needs in modern society) are beyond reach of middle class in our part of world.

Re: Aurat ki kamai

Re: Aurat ki kamai

In the culture being discussed, a majority of women have never had an individual identity apart from their fathers' and later, their husbands’. The main biological role of women has already been predefined as giving birth and satisfying the family's emotional requisites. At times, women are not even permitted to go out unless their legit reason gets rubber-stamped by their overprotective fathers/brothers/husbands.

Taking into account this proprietorial attitude, it shouldn't be astounding that a feminine income offends most men at a large scale.

1.) Pride factor: Most men differentiate themselves from women solely through their income. An earning woman who maintains a home and nurtures a family at the same time, righteously takes ascendancy over all household responsibilities which will eventually steer her to question a man's overall significance in her life. It threatens a man's ego when he perceives his wife/daughter seizing his traditional role as the dominant bread winner of the family.

2.) Apparently, their women are to be guarded and secured at home without being publicly divulged. The outside world is notorious for being full of bigotry and brutality - a setting entirely perilous and incompatible for women.

3.) Fear of society: People accuse the man for being the lazy lump on a log if his female family members are working. To some extent, it is justified that his insecurities formulate this judgement.

I am a supporter of giving daugters equal rights and opportunities

Re: Aurat ki kamai

That is true, if one wants to maintain the lifestyle, one needs it

Iske liye bilkul sahi kismat honi chaiye :D, jo generally nahi hoti :frowning:

That was part of tribal society and was good for that time, to sustain in post industrial economy one needs to have post industrial lifestyle, so all these social conditions are feasible in their relevant economic environment

Re: Aurat ki kamai

If only the scenario had changed and it had also become a gaali to live off the wife and bahu's dowry, life for many a woman would have been better.

Re: Aurat ki kamai

Ajj kal to villages main bhi kaha jata hay ‘Ustaani’ say shadi karni hay  khud matric naheen kia hota aur double MA pass ustani mil jati hay unn ko :hinna:

Now a days gals have made their life very hard, especially after marriage :nahi: But as for my concern “Kamai” should not be responsibility of girl and men who are marrying with them purely for the sake of money are “Joroo key kamai khanay wallay” :barbie:
