I definitely agree with Muzna on this one don't send pics without recieving any. This is the protocol for girls moreso than guys. You definitely want to protect girls more than the guys.
As far as the stupid questions- unfortunately you have to play that that "stupid" game. Consider it an application process. In ref. to pcg I'm sure you to prove yourself when you applied to med school and residency. if you are going thru rishta aunty - they will ask these type of questions Bc desi will not let go of these standards for a long time. We instill that mentality into our daughters and become those aunties when we search for rishtas for brothers, sons, BIL ....
Bahus are status symbols - god knows why.
Why do women till this day use Fairness creams? Why do they wear heels....and starve themselves? most mils want to change the gene pool. Many who ask this question have sons, brothers with dark complexion. Hence they are looking for light skinned girl in hopes of having lighter skinned off spring.
I guess you can't control who you fall in love with but when you go to handpick a spouse for your loved one people have more control. Who knows....
Anyways my strong suggestion please don't get bogged down by the stupidity of the process - keep the end result in mind. you want a decent life partner. Remember not all men are telling their moms or rishta aunty to behave like this but ppl have unfortunately done this for decades. I am not defending this but simply suggesting to pcg and others keep your end goal in mind.
Consider it shopping process. People are always searching for the best possible rishta they can get based on their priorities. Everyone wants the Aishwarya Rai / Katrina kaif looks but lets face it not everyone gets them.

so she can show her friends and say `yes my son chose HER- the fat ugly spoty one...
however, i was;
thinner , prettier, whiter ( er, ok i used lighter makeup), AND no spots, in pics.
she hated me. and still does.

What do you do when an aunty wants to see pictures of you - updated ones - and knows what you look like already, but still wants more pics....meanwhile is not willing to fork over pics of her son?
What would you do? How would you respond to her?
Send her a random scary pic.. And tell her that unless she sends his pics, this will have to do for now..
