If you don’t mind my asking, is this a personal picture of your’s - i mean, is the bride your friend? Or did you find this off the net?
It seems as though the bride’s face-complexion is somewhat paler than the rest of her complexion; in their culture, is it considered more beautiful to have lighter-coloured skin complexion? (Just curious - i am not going to turn this into a moral discussion). One more query - it seems a more lavish wedding than an ‘average’ Balinese wedding; is this representative of an “upper class” wedding?

This is a typical Balinese wedding. Nadia_H, most of the time local brides in Indonesia do their make-up that way, their faces are always very white and chalky compared to the rest of their body. They also choose orangey tones for their eye makeup and lipstick. Most upper class weddings are actually quite western. The white gown, etc.

Rite and wrong! BBali is predominantly Hindu. But this was only the outfit and decoration which is Balinese in this wedd not the ceremony and the nikah itself..

Yes! the Nikah was done before the party, i think it was a day before. There are rituals must be done for the nikah and they did it as normal javanese nikah!
Note: they are javanese and not balinese!
And sorry i ccant explain the ritual of the javanese nikah coz i havent married yet! 
..for sure there are lots STUFFSS to be done!
