I am in search of Shalwar Kameez for women like our mommies, our mother in laws, khalas etc. Women within the age range of 40 - 65. What would suit them? Something not too bright and over for a woman of their age, but instead somethign sober & decent looking.

I think saris especially.
I've seen aunties doing the long shirt/trouser look -- as look as it is fitted nice and the kaam isn't huge, it's looks good.
And if it's a close wedding, ghararas are always great.

God bless you whitesea for all these pictures. I really like the peach one, black one and i really like the sari of the aunty with mehendi on her hands.
Normally, when i go shopping with my mother i would get ready made suits for myself or just get kaam on my suit. My mother is not the sort who likes too much of kaam or something and she cannot wear anything that is not pure. So i dont understand what to make her for weddings. Which cloth i should buy, should i get some kaam on it or not, where can i get a proper wedding wear dress for mama that does not need any more kaam or anything on it?

I found the pics from paklinks only......from different threads.....i dnt knw ne of them except one, i like the dressing of these aunties & kept them for my mom for my brother's wedding....which is in feb:) ..........& because of their (people) privacy i hide their faces coz i dnt wnt to hurt neone and dnt want to get in ne kinda trouble:)

The best option for your mama is banarsi saari in pure silk & it dsnt need ne kaam…if she is into sarees…the banarsi saaries look elegant on ne mother no matter what her body shape size is…hope this helps:)

^that's tru, but mom's like mine don't want to wear sarees or very heavy kaum or anything trendy.....so hard to find stuff for my mom
