One even asked my mom for my rishta!!! : (and i am married for a year now)
My brother and hubby laughed their asses off but it is sooo annoying
And another aunty kept looking at me during the dholki…mehndi and baraat day eventually she had the guts to tell me NOT TO dance and laugh at someone marriage especially not with the groom…he wasn’t available and it would distract the attention from the bride… (she didn’t realize that it was my BROTHER …she even asked the dholi not to play dhol -.-
Kasamsey…desi auntiis make me flabbergasted
Does someone has the same with them? Or am i the only one who attracts weirdo’s?
You are spot on. You know what I'll admit it's an awesome feeling when an Auntie comes and shows interest in me for rishta purposes. Especially when I had my boys and they assumed they were my younger brothers!! I relished it and thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of knowing I still got it!
^ Opper sai sub yee hee kehtey hain dil main laddo.
All you married gals wait for is for some aunty to ask for your Rishta and then you rant about it for next 6 months :)
@ p_g and decent 6chora…Wthell?? Saaf saaf baat??? Mind u i am
completely sattisfied with the attention tht i get from my hubby…if i need more i will simply ask him and not desperatly ask attention from school boys on the wedding dancefloor
@ fuzzypeach!! Hahaha thats a nice compliment…but i was feelin embarrased…specially cuz of fact that my inlaws were there aswell
Recently one of my chachis was constantly nagging my at one my cousin’s dholki . She was complaining the whole tym about how " wrong" the concept of dholki is with all the singing and dancing, the music was always too loud for her ( she kept telling us to stop the music), girls had put “too much” makeup acc. to her ( hello?? it’s a dholki for god’s cake…we’re all SUPPOSED to be all dolled up:smack:), we all were doing wrong by taking too many pictures and what not!!
ufff! hadd hoti hay!!
then there are other aunty jiis who can never compliment you!! there always has to be somethin wrong with my dress, or my hair, or looking too fat blah blah…except for their daughters/ daughter-in-laws, no one else can look better than them…tareef toh kabhi kar hi nai saktey:naraz:
We have a tradition in the fam (copied fron tge goraas) to throw the brides bouquette…one of the aunties started with her lectured “mere bete ki shadi hoti to me yeh na karti woh na karti …larkion ko dance na karne deti blablavla” seriouslyyy just get ur son married in a room of 3 by3 orso but just stoppp ruining thing for others
And there is also a sort of aunties who complains about the food…lkin in mean while is filling her plates 5 times!!! She said " khaney ka intezam tables per karna chahiye tha…with dishes of food on every table ibstead of a buffet…and the chutneys werent spiced enough blabla"
