I noticed, Akhtar stats are not impressive
Anybody who watched the match, what happened to Pathan. i am surprised by how badly he failed. The Dutch conditions were supposed to favour his swinging the ball

Inshallah and Aameen, bro. :)
Woolmer is a wonderful coach, he seemed to have inculcated the missing pride that the boys should have when playing in Pak colours. the boys seem to like being treated with respect as opposed to Miandad's desi totkay.
well pp007, that’s what I hope will stop. I don’t care if they win or lose as long as the effort is there. as long as the planning is there. and if both of these ingredients are there somewhat regularly, the consistency will come eventually.
did you guys notice how much thought there seemed to be in the field placings for the various batsmen. the Woolmer influence is showing and I’m super glad that Inzi is responding to his ideas. he will improve as a captain himself if he keeps up with Woolmer.

Very well said. There is lot of purpose now in Pakistani approach.
Afridi came off as an allrounder today. He bowled very well and got a useful 19. If he plays against Australia he should go down the order IMO and Salman Butt should come in to open replacing useless Younis Khan.
:edit: the reason being, Aussies will pitch it short and he needs bowlers who pitch the ball up to come off. I can’t see his slogging coming off against Brett Lee.

Good all round performences by the 3 all rounders…Razzaq, Malik and the unexpected by most…Afridi. They all rose to the occasion when specialists like Yaasir and Inzamam, Akhtar, and Sami failed.
Well Done Pakistan
I think the same team should play against the Aussies, with only one change, Salman Butt coming in for Younis Khan.
pakistani bowlers only gave away 6 extras, which is huge improvements from 25-30 they were given up.. I think this is another reason indian batsmen were kept under pressure cuz they werent able to get free runs and then ended up losing wickets trying to get runs... I think if Pakistani bowlers can continue this, we will only get better.. Woolmer's hard work is now bearing fruit and I think he has done excellent job thus far.. I stil lthink we need to be patience and give him 6 months then see the results..
