Audio Problems...

:salam:

To Whom It May Concern :stuck_out_tongue:

Guys, I am having audio problems…

I just put in a new hard drive and everything on my computer is reinstalled from the start…

When I try to play a file, this error comes up…

I am giving you the Explorer ‘About’ too so you know my version and everything…

Also, some posts have the old speaker icon and some posts have the new MP3 icon…

I can’t seem to play using the MP3 button, but Winamp opens the file instead of the GupShup embedded player…

Also in the posts with the speaker icon, neither button plays anything…

In the posts with the MP3 icon, the MP3 button gives a “Errors on page” in the lower left corner of my IE but plays through winamp with the floppy icon…

Didn’t know where to ask, so posting here…

If someone moves it, please leave a link and let me know so I can follow this post…Thanks…

"Java Required" .... that sounds like zulu to me....I wonder what it means.

Waisay AG seems to be working fine so if it doesnt work for you, just download the files and listen to them in winamp.

^^You're no help...

P.S. Any idea how I can install the GS player? It used to work fine in my previous computer, but I have the exact same configuration for both...

Why the dichotomy?

I am known to be of no help. :p

PS. XP doesnt come with Java Runtime Engine, hence its telling you that you Require Java..... Install Java.

Well, I would have figured it out eventually, but thanks for the tip…Worked like a charm…:k:

Seems Microsoft and Sun had a legal battle over the Java Virtual Machine…Happens that the installations prior to 6 months of IE retained the JVMs despite the service packs and patches…

Since I clean installed the whole operating system and IE, my version of IE was the one without the JVM installed…Although the strange thing is that I kept my IE in optimal upgraded condition, I could still use Java…

But all is not lost for people hooked on Java…A free floating installation of the original JVMs can be downloaded from here…Just download and install…
