When recorded directly, the file format is wav… and mostly we have to download it rather than listening it directly…
but to upload the only option is MP3 file…
can uploading of wav and/or real audio files be enabled?
It will really help…
many people simply don’t come to the audio section due to the facts that either they are unable to listen or they can’t record anything or upload mp3 files…
I dont think listening should be a problem anymore. We are working with standard mp3 now. As for recording, I already know the problem and working on the fix. Mp3 uploads should work for everyone (well the majority). If someone is unable to upload mp3....bad luck :p .
wav and realaudio can be done but the "why cant I listen to this file" problem will remain. With wav we have no way of controlling the codecs used by people.
The full versions of MP3 recorders are not the integrated part of any applications out there...
the evaluation versions are sometimes problematic and thus making own MP3 files by "a normal" user is a task that has usabilty issues in perspective of user-centric cleint model of such public forums:)
Will Gupshup be willing to provide atleast a MP3 recorder?

Baat to aisay ki hay jaisay GS a blood sucking insurance company :p . The recorder in the GSAG software IS an MP3 recorder, we just keep the extention as .wav. There are a few bugs in it for few ppl but I dont see it as difficult to use.
