I have been given 3 cds by a friend. these 3 cds have 10 or so tracks each. These were recorded from a live program. The tracks have anouncements, speaches and other stuff that I need to cut out and properly generate one good cd out of it. what audio recoding/editing software am I to use? I am at ground zero with this sort of thing.
Re: audio editing
You can use Sony Acid , and then open the tracks, and cut the fields out (cut/merge) and then render to mp3 or any other audio file extension.
Re: audio editing

Re: audio editing

Re: audio editing
You cant be serious?
go to www.google.com and type in Sony Acid as keyword and guess what appears as first result.
Re: audio editing
yes I am serious. Sony has a family of Acid products and have no clue which one he is talking about being a newb.
This page(http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/download/freestuff.asp) has a bunch of stuff but not sure which one he was refering to.
This page (http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/products/acidfamily.asp) has a bunch of stuff and I wasn’t sure which one he was refering to.
I needed something easy and quick. All I wanted to do was remove some unneeded content from the middle of the track. No fancy effects and stuff.
Anyway, I ended up using WavePad which is nice, easy, did the job in 5 minutes and the best of all, its a non-expiring free software.
EDIT - ^ Well I take that back where I said its completely free. According to the FAQon WavePad’s web stie:
*"Q. Is WavePad really free? *
*Yes. We make WavePad free in the hope you will like it and buy WavePad Masters Edition in the future. *
The free version of WavePad also has the additional features of WavePad Master’s Edition enabled for a 14-day free trial after the software is first installed. If you choose not to purchase the WavePad Master’s Edition licence upgrade at the end of the free trial period, the advanced features will be disabled but the standard WavePad features will continue to work. "
But again, I wouldn’t know what those advance features are that it is talking about.
Re: audio editing
Nero Wave Editor if you already have nero.
