Attractive people

Re: Attractive people

Hence why i said skill is better.

If your skilled and your the best as what you do then people come to you… :smokin2:

:lifey:

elementary dear Watson
attractive is someone that attracts you... so duh... i mean, if you're attracted to somebody, ofcourse you're gonna give them preference!
but Sarah,
attractiveness doesn't come with height, figure or dress sense (as youve said) - it's more about how you carry yourself. if i like the way you carry yourself, meaning if i'm ATTRACTED to you, hell yesh i'll employ you :)

Re: Attractive people

being a girl,

what attracts me in girls:
- confidence.
- confidence.
- confidence.
- decent personality (i mean i dont like sluttiness in galz)

what attracts me in guys:
- Subtle confidence (not the in your face i'm so hot attitude)
- calmness
- sensitive eyes
- decency
- nice voice (not girly but gentle :--p )
- they shouldn't be the type to openly stare at galz

Dress sense, meaning presentability, and how neat and groomed the person is, is always a turn on coz i mean they've spent TIME dressing up, so they catch your eye. it's like, if you spend time making kheer it will turn out tasty, u know?

From personal experience, a cheerful personality and confidence significantly outweigh good looks as far as most hiring processes are concerned. Ofcourse, the dating scene is a completely different story!

Re: Attractive people

i dont think so.people usually go for ur personality where looks counts too but not as much as other factors.

I was really bored one afternoon and flipping through the channels...and what caught my attention was an experiment conducted on the Dr. Phil show..by his own son...regarding how people treat those that are considered unattractive.

So..he put on this ugly mask on and went to the mall seeking a job application..and the people just sort of ignored him...compared to when the did the same things without the mask.

It's said that people are more likely to think that attractive people are "good" in character...also known as the "halo effect." And that they're less likely to be suspected of committing a crime...more likely to earn higher salaries (now in some jobs...your salary is fixed)...etc etc. Babies, also, are known to stare longer at attractive faces. But...research on this topic...has also found that people have the ability to reason/prioritize....and are capable of ditching the attractive person who has an ugly personality.

There are some people who are average looking...but they appear more attractive because of the way they carry themselves. Take SRK, for example. He's not considered attractive by conventional standards...but he's got charm.

Re: Attractive people

In pyschology we were once told about a study where it was shown that more attractive ppl were less likely to be convicted of crimes in court than those who were ugly, except for cases like fraud..

It's innate....we're drawn to people/things that are attractive. Associating ugly with evil is drilled into us from a young age. Take a look at the fairy tales, for example....the evil witch is usually ugly. Yes, in the real world, there ARE attractive people that are evil. But it's interesting that literature for children doesn't take that into account.....it's something you learn...through your experiences..as you go through life.

Re: Attractive people

^Just made me think of the 'ugly sisters'..

Also in those old Bollywood flicks the villain was nearly always dark (and no, I don't think dark is ugly).. Darker actresses like Bipasha Basu tend to get picked more for the temptress/evil roles as well..

Re: Attractive people

Personality and how you carry yourself is what makes you attractive.

and thats antoher reason I'm not gonna read fairytales to my kids.

In almost EVERY book I've ever read, from childhood books to adult fiction, the "bad" person is almost always fat, dark or has pimples. Not to digress, but thats one reason I loved Shrek. :D

Re: Attractive people

I work in the Human Resources field and trust me, i know recruitment agencies who refuse to hire anyone no matter how much experience they have if they are ugly by looking at their cv pic

I personally think a male or female should have that "charm" to withstand in a crowd!!!!!!

Re: Attractive people

Isn't there some online dating agency that only attractive ppl can join.. the members vote on whether the potential is beautiful enough to be part of their site lol

Long time game! How u been?

I agree, dates come your way if you're good looking... without even trying!

*Personal experience Spock, I'm sure :D ? *

Re: Attractive people

i think it really depends on how one carries themselves.

If a so called attractive person walked around hunching their back and looking depressed all the time, they aint gonna be hired..

whereas if a small chubby little fellow was always smiles and friendly.. and looked as if nothig could get him/her down... they would be hired instantly..

Its personality that matters in the real world (well if you want something long term)

So, if people wanna say that they arent being hired cus they arent attractive or skinny enough... its silliness me thinks
