Physical appearence is the first thing we judge people by. If this test is passed we move on to personality. Personally, I'd want to marry someone who's beautiful and sexy (these are two different attributes; i.e. one can be beautiful but not sexy and vice versa) but only if her upbringing has been proper and she has respect for others, InshAllah.

But the idea of personality as a source of attraction also has some truth to it. If the personality is strong then people may see him/her as a potential life partner.

out of 100% i give 75% to personality...character & other stuffs & i give 25% to looks.

I dont expect him to be drop dead gorgeous...but he shud look good in my eyes...& *the people whose opinion i respect. *

i dont care if looks play a small part or big part in our lives. It has a part to play. So looks does matter...& u have to be physically attracted to someone if u r gonna marry him.

I agree with most of what you said cept the bolded part, that's quite disturbing to me.

:-) with time, say 20 years, 30 years, there is NO physical aspect left that u can possibly think of to re-energize ur feelings about a person...

my response? is that EVERYONE is equal.. sure, some gir's height/curves/color of skin/face will attract me towards her, but slowly with time i've realized, that physical characteristics dont mean anything . . .

its her care and love that i miss the most :-) not what she looked like..

so in final-stage, YES the relationship can be GREAT and healthy, cuz when u like someone by their outer-appearence, span of that relationship is AS LONG as that appearence is there.. once gone, so does the relationship :-)

yes may be u right but i donot experienced such things the best marraige what i thing in between those who respect each other feeling and pay respect to each other wishes and both have stronge communication , understanding so this would best marriage infront of me but if we talk about attraction so this temporery game i will say its a temporery fever after some time all his phisically attraction became gone when she or she bahaves badly with each other i have seen many couple those who r very simple and have no such phisically got no attraction but they got stronge understanding comprimising behavior and happy living togther ...................................l

It all depends. I’ll give more to mental compatibility but physical appearance plays a part too. And we can’t ignore it.
Again, we can never come up with a conclusion here as there are several examples to prove both but for sure i know one thing that chemistry b/w the 2 lasts but physical may not.

Physical attraction is what attracts u to someone in the first place. It’s what gets someone to stay just long enough to determine wehther they are worth being with (i.e., personality/character shine through).. :halo:
