Malik Qayum resigns from AGP’s post

ISLAMABAD: Malik Muhammad Qayum Thursday resigned from his post as Attorney General of Pakistan. President Pervez Musharraf accepted his resignation.
Earlier some days back, when there were reports regarding his resignation, he said he would have consultations with his friends over the matter and in due course, would decide about the resignation.
Talking to media, the attorney general said he cannot confirm the acceptance or refusal of the resignation by the president.
Farooq Naik, Iqbal Hyder and Masud Kausar are the probables for the post which lies vacant after Malik Abdul Qayyum steps down as the Attorney General of Pakistan.
