Some people say that the relationship existed and denounced by the right-wingers after 1947 as Attiya faizy was a liberal lady (not wearing niqaab - an unacceptable practice in those days). I know people will come and give examples of Begum Rana Liaquat Ali and Mohtarma Fatima Jinah, etc who didn’t wear niqaab… but again Iqbal got a special and ideological status so relating such a liberal lady with him would be difficult for those people who wanted to portray Iqbal’s poetry as pure religious matter.
If that is a propaganda, what objectives could be obtained from this?
On a side note, a love relationship (which couldn’t be ended in marriage for some reason) is a personal matter and IMO it doesn’t affect the personality like Iqbal.
