Not all the ‘actors/actresses’ who work within the porn industry are from impoverished backgrounds although granted a hardlife did motivate some like Jenna Jameson who was quite famous and as far as I know has successfully moved on from actually making porn films.
Hugh Hefner himself is actually an educated man-and came from a fairly decent background demonstating sometimes the allure of success/glamour/women is something within someone rather than because of a hard knock life.
I’m not sure what you mean by class? We have working class, middle class and upper class-and most people in the UK at least would fit under working class? As stated, Hugh came from a alright family, and as far as I’m aware he started out with a loan from his mum-and for me that can be translated to her giving her blessings.
It’s only taboo for some. For example let’s take De Wallen Amsterdam which is of course in Europe as is England. There legal structure of ‘sex establishments’ makes their venues less taboo more of a business for a lot of people living around Amsterdam. If the same thing happened in say Birmingham, it would be a bigger taboo because anything new or unusual causes a stir at first. After a long time I’d expect attitudes to change as they have done in other parts of Europe where nudist beaches are common place and noone blushes at the thought. Time changes things, as another poster has mentioned.
Attitudes are different in different places-what is taboo for one may not be for the next person or country.
