..... Any idea of what will happen if US stops all aid today?
And my point in the other (split) thread was, to be self-reliant, just like some of the other countries, instead of looking towards US, waiting for what they give us so that economy may run. ...
Your views are pretty innocent bro.
America sets up bilateral partnerships based on two things (could be more).
- What American NEEDS from the bilateral partnership
- What the partner can PROVIDE.
In this EXCHANGE money transfer takes place.
Here is an example closer to home. If you run a gas station, then you establish a BILATERAL partnership with your customers.
- Your customers NEED gas/petrol
- You PROVIDE gas/petrol
In this EXCHANGE money transfer takes place.
However if a customer is looking for TV, they will go to an electronic store. GOT it?
For example Indian leaders after 9/11 jumped up and down like little kids to offer their bases to USA.
But the USA did not need Indian bases, and that's why the EXCHANGE did not take place.
However India did offer men to build infrastructure in Afghanistan so there is an EXCHANGE taking place as we speak.
If Pakistan offers the USA better trained but cheaper factory workers compared to China, then USA will prefer Pakistan for the Walmart contracts. Obviously that is not the reality.
If Pakistan offers the USA better trained and much cheaper call center employees compared to Indians, the USA will prefer Pakistan for the IT contracts. Obviously that is not the reality.
If Pakistan offers better designed cars compared to Japan and Germany, then Americans will prefer Pakistani made cars. Obviously that is not the reality.
So quit living in an innocent world and try to face the reality of Pak-American strategic partnership. AND do not compare it USA partnerships with other countries "without proper analysis".
