Folks,
I am new to this forum - but I actually registered coz I could not stand the onslaught by 라시드 anymore.
Sure, we understand he is an ahmadi. But is there is a reason he is being given extra favoritism by this site?
Just look at his behavior in ‘question-for-pakistanis-inside-pakistan’ thread
in All Views.
Is this decent? Civil?
As a member of this forum I need to understand how he was dealt with in consequence to such a foul behavior.

Am not a Mod but I feel you totally 100% what you mean.. but unfortunately there is only so much we can say and do here as am sure one of the reply you ll get is .. that everyone has freedom of speech and have a right to an opinion. But i disagree.
so consequently, the ahmadi/qadyani/mirzaei issue will always be at square one. Refuted, argued, debated, negated and very controversial .. but I see it no reason to be it a controversial ..since everything is crystal clear. The Ahmadi 'IS' a Fitna.
My views agree or not but am gona stick to em.

Just because mods were unable to get to that specific thread doesn't mean he is a favorite and being protected. If you have concerns for a thread or post(s), please report them to appropriate mods.
i've reported already. thread name is in my original post. am a new member so can't paste links here.
and i've noticed this attitude of his thru-out the forums not this thread - but anyhow, use this thread as a case in point.
also, can we know what action is taken to discourage such behavior from him?
and, that thread's been around for ages - so were the mods just busy or did they actually let go of those posts?

Actions are decided on case to case basis, we don't discuss them in public. Mods will be looking in that thread, they might be busy or might have missed it, I cannot say for sure.
Anyway, thank you for sharing your concerns. We are looking into them.
Rest, we don't support a specific group of people, never have, we encourage freedom of speech within GS rules.

well, i think Mirzais are openly going around pakistan-bashing and preaching their agenda on the forum - the kind of freedom of speech which is inciteful to majority of Muslims and Pakistanis. so i suggest you re-examine the extent of "freedom" you're allowing to Mirzai speech on this board.
that's a different issue though. but this thread in particular is about the member in the subject, who seems to behave rudely with whoever he wants, giving the message that he owns the forum or something.
i've not seen him reprimanded yet, and i discovered that cricketplaya was banned. i do not know the reasons.
hope to see some change.

My friend, we need to learn to live here without complaining. If you complain about someone else then mods will start to keep an eye on YOUR posts. You make a little mistake and you will get a slap. I did.
Hey, I am not complaining about mods. It’s just human nature, I guess.

I don't have any issues being reprimanded if i do something wrong. I do not believe in keeping quiet about something which is clearly wrong. But anyway, khoji sir, thanks for your inputs.

I agree with TLK ... and I would like to add that , most individuals here are well read , educated members ... We must encourage zero tolerance to the rude language rather then focus on sects ... Even if an Ahmedi or anyone else comes and says his point of view politely we must respect that approach. To counter their opinion we have the power to negate their approach , again ,in a polite language.
Healthy discussions lead to people changing their view points ... Use of bad language to express oneself leads to people further taking a stance on their opinions.

Nosherwan is responding to previous posts in the thread - but you can see who started it. There is a group of ahmadis on this forum who come to each thread that is about ahmadis - and some of them start creating havoc, throwing personal abuses right and left without any provocation to their person. I wouldn't blame someone if they respond, I'd blame the starter. Most active in the ahmadi gang to promote this abuse is the nick in the subject. Other ahmadi members, who're debating normally, i have no issues with them. They may even post youtube videos of their murabis and khalifa if that is your site policy (though I have to bring this to your attention too as I thought we are mirrorring Pakistani state policy here, where preaching Ahmadiyat is a crime). Ahmadis even calling themselves Muslim in Pakistan is a crime.
It's the nick in subject who's trying to bully everyone else, and those who are very careful about their image on the forum will even stop talking in his presence coz they'll be afraid of his foul response.

We always encourage the members to help by reporting posts which they deem inappropriate. If you do not see desired results after having reported a post, and waiting sufficient amount of time, you can then proceed to Private Message one of the moderators and draw their attention to the questionable content.
I hope we all practice restraint, and treat each other with due, and deserved respect regardless of thought process. Locking horns over personal beliefs is something that may not be won by the fierce words. It is instead the exchange in a humble manner, with logic, and ability to agree to disagree that will yield an ideal atmosphere for like-minded individuals to take part in any discussion and bear fruitful results.
There was foul language flying around between several members in that particular thread, and we all have a share in that. Let us move forward from here onwards and maintain sanctity, and uphold a dignified approach. If you feel you cannot be a productive contributor, then allow others who can be to take part instead.
This is not a matter of Gupshup defined policy to protect a certain person(s), rather a common set of rules that have been formulated after much thought, deliberation, and input from members like yourselves. The very presence of Feedback section, and follow up by GS Team members is testament to the fact that all member' input is taken considerably.
So, thank you for your feedback and concerns. Please continue to tell us how we're doing. Please help your fellow moderators by reporting posts that you deem inappropriate, and do your best to be the reasons others like yourselves would want to join Gupshup. We're all here to communicate with each other, and any successful communication is only possible when all involved are willing to communicate with no pre-conceived notions.
