GS’s very own Child Genius → Phatima1 proclaims a new and enlightened plan that will help smokers throughout the world kick the dirty habit.
I call it:
The Smoking Diet
It’s quite simple, even someone as thick as Danial Shah would be able to do it…if only he tried.
But anyways, the diet is a strict repetitive process that one must keep to in order for it to work…
Each day, the smoker must smoke one less cigarette than the day before. Eventually, the smoker will reach the day on which he will no longer be a smoker, but a free man.
*Note: If you are a heavy smoker or if you’re just a coward like my pal Danial Shah, than you may choose to smoke one less cigarette after 2 days, rather than one. It’s the same process, it’ll just take twice as long.
To serve as an experiment for this smoking diet plan, our very own Danial Shah has graciously volunteered to proceed with it. We wish him good luck and strength in his journey towards freedom from the chains of this killer device. May he no longer reek of smoke and tabacco. May he no longer have wrinkly fingers and yellow stained teeth. May he live a healthy and happy life for the future to come. InshaAllah.
^ Thanks brother, i am trying. and i think i will set a date for my quitting. i have lots of excuses like stress etc. but i think i will just put them all behind and try to quit ones and for all.
yahh..! finally someone got through to you, huh?
but seriously, good luck with your new endeavor…and trust me, we’ll all like you a whole bunch better when you’re smoke free
The biggest mistake you can do is set a date…Never set dates…I set thousands…Birthdays, new years, cousins birthdays, anniversaries…Bad stuff…
Here’s how I did it…
I immediately made up my mind that I am going to bear the pain of withdrawal…I knew that I would be awake at night, I would have trouble going to the bathrooms, I am going to crave that after dinner smoke or lighting up in front of the computer, relaxed and puffing away while I converse with my GS brothers and sisters…
And trust me…The first day was hell…Nothing gave me enjoyment…I disliked even opening up my computer…Many times I thought of going to the 7-11 to get a pack but caught myself…Slowly, today, I don’t even feel the need to smoke…(Except maybe after a heavy meal)…
But I also did one thing…I prayed Salat-ul-Astaghtfar and asked Allah :swt:'s forgivness for doing someting Haram like smoking…(Smoking is Haram BTW)…
I prayed two Nafls of forgivness and Allah :swt: made it easy and I haven’t touched it since …
You can do it…It takes faith, strength and the will to bear pain…
Now, I have more stamina, more strength, I bodybuild, food states better, no fear of throat and lung cancer, no fear of bad breath…
Trust me…You can do it…Just decide that you need pain to quit…Quit right now…Throw away your packet…Your hands will resist and so would your mind…Just crush that packet and say to yourself, I AM GOING TO BEAR THIS PAIN OF WITHDRAWAL NO MATTER HOW MUCH I CRAVE!!!
D. Shah - Man, you don’t know how happy you’ve made me today, pal. I’m really happy for you. May Allah(swt) give you strength as you go through with this. Keep in mind, you don’t have to do my stupid “smoking diet”. The point was to just make smokers quit…and look, you’ve got someone talking with experience - Lajawab. I’m sure he can really help you out.
Lajawab - You’re an angel. This is really sweet of you (to share words of advice). Good on you for quitting.
Uncle Stalker - Well then they should just quit smoking alltogether.
