Re: Attention Doctors
PCG, I'm not a doc but my first thought was also sleep apnea. What happens is that your trachea closes and you actually stop breathing. Your body then wakes you up - maybe not fully but enough to get you breathing again. This means that you never or only rarely go into REM sleep which is the deep level of sleep that you need in order to wake up feeling refreshed. Most hospitals have sleep labs now and if they diagnose sleep apnea and you have insurance, they would cover the cost of the test and of the machine that helps correct the problem. Theres also lots of over-the-counter products for sleep apnea but you should really look into the sleep lab test first.
Good luck and happy dreams!
